Theme Ideas
Have you considered a theme for your
picnic? Have employees asked for a specific kind of party?
Although choosing a theme can limit what activities can be done, theme
parties can also be fun.
If you plan a party with a theme:
Here are a few options and some ideas...
|
|
Halloween is such a great time for a
Fall Festival.
Hay bales, apple bobbing, candy apples, popcorn, cotton candy, taking home
your personal painted pumpkin, and of course a haunted house bring that
great fall atmosphere to the picnic. Games could include: ghost walk,
pumpkin throw, and rock the cat.

Proud to be American.
Celebrate with red, white, and blue balloons dancing in the air and an
upper management appreciation speech. Strike up a band or invited
school organization to play the national anthem and patriotic songs.
These are all great reasons to celebrate your company and your employees.
Employees could be divided into teams to hold the Olympics.
The winners receive gold medals and or trophies.

|
Eat under the Mess Hall tent. Play Mash Trivia for prizes. Gurney Race your way through the Sporting Events.
This themed event is great for Hospitals recognizing their employees. Add a
Rock Climbing Wall and dress up the place with camouflage.
|
|
Choose a Beach/Luau
theme for the the summer time with
games involving water activities, beach volleyball, and have guests
attempt to surf a mechanical surf board. Themed inflatables (i.e.
"Wet & Wild" inflatable slide, Obstacle Course, etc.) provide
entertainment for all ages. Sand Art would be a great keepsake, and
a roasted pig could be
prepared for the meal.
|
|
A Country Western theme is great all year round.
Pony and Hay rides give everyone that physical attraction of the country
environment. Tables could be covered in red and white table covering
and ribs served for lunch. Guests can be bucked off a mechanical bull,
throw horseshoes, visit the petting zoo, ride the trackless train, laser
skeet shoot, wear country western outfits,
line dance and just clown around.
|
|
Ole! Fiesta it up at the next company picnic. Fiesta
fun could be with maracas (with the company logo) for everyone to shake,
shake, shake...as they listen to the Mariachi Band playing live in front
of all the guests.
|
|
Christmas/Winter Holiday theme party could include seated
eating with all the trimmings. What a great time to have the kids
decorate cookies, make ornaments, and have their picture taken with Santa.
You could even help out Mom and Dad with a Secret Santa Shop for kids to
do their shopping.
|
|
"Big Top Circus". Clowns, balloonists (balloon
artists), magicians, jugglers and caricature artist let guests feel as if they were
attending their own personal circus. Treats served at the "Big
Top Circus" could include cotton candy, popcorn, and peanuts in a bag.
Tables covered in red and white table covering. Themed inflatables
would make a great facade (i.e. Circus Bounce, Jungle Bounce, etc.)...do
not forget the carnival games with prizes. A petting zoo would be a
great addition.

|
Mardi Gras excites everyone. Guests can dress up or
create their own mask as they enjoy the picnic festivities with a palm
reader, tarot card reader, and a fortune teller to advise and amuse your
guests. Ambiance the mood with Jazz being played for the guest.
